Student passes @ the Budapest Public Transports

Hiya! I heard from some of my friends that students in Budapest are entitled to buy a student pass using their student IDs!! :blush:
How long these student passes are valid till? Can the same pass be used for underground lines, suburban train lines, trams, buses and trolley buses??? Or do I need to buy a separate pass for each of these transport systems? :confused:
