What are the entry requirements for universities in the Netherlands?

It is noteworthy that each institution sets its admission requirements for interested students to meet. Therefore, the first step towards admission is to decide on the course of study and ensure that your university of interest offers the programme. If the course is available, you should see the admission requirements and application procedures as announced by the institution.

As applicable in most countries, there is a minimum requirement expected of candidates for the tertiary institution, which may include a basic test of the English language such as IELTS or TOEFL. Candidate for either of these tests is expected to score a minimum of 550 in a paper-based test or score 213 in an online-based test to be considered for admission. Candidate interested in studying in Dutch must hold Dutch NT2-II diploma or pass the Dutch TUL intermediate exam.

Also, candidates are expected to have appropriate secondary school certificate equivalent to the Dutch system. Once you are sure you meet the necessary entry qualification as announced by your institution of choice, the next step is the application process.
